Meetings

Meetings play a crucial role in the governance and decision-making processes of Okanese First Nation. These meetings provide a platform for community members to come together and discuss important issues, share their ideas and concerns, and make decisions that impact the future of their community.

The meetings on Okanese First Nation are typically held in accordance with established protocols and traditions, which may include opening prayers, smudging ceremonies, and other cultural practices.

Community members are encouraged to participate and contribute to the discussions, and to engage in respectful and productive dialogue with one another.

The topics discussed at these meetings may vary widely, but often include matters related to community development, economic growth, land use and management, and social services. The meetings may also provide an opportunity for community members to hear updates from the leadership and administration of Okanese First Nation, and to offer feedback and input on ongoing projects and initiatives.

We want to ensure that the voice of every community member is heard and considered in the governance and development of our community.
